What it offers
- Dictation wherever you can type, on Mac, Windows, iPhone, and Android, in 100+ languages with automatic detection.
- Removes filler words, adds punctuation, formats the text, and can use a different writing style for each app.
- A personal dictionary, snippets you speak to expand, and a meeting Notetaker on every plan.
What to check
- Dictated audio is processed in the cloud. Model training, cloud storage, and local history are separate settings; check each one.
- The free plan has a weekly word limit. Unlimited dictation is a Pro subscription.
- Memory Notch’s dictation runs on your Mac and costs nothing, but it’s simpler: one phrase per double-tap, no voice commands, snippets, or styles, and Mac only.

Memory Notch opens from the notch, follows the conversation with a live transcript, and folds away while recording continues. An optional glow keeps the collapsed recording visible. Search library titles and metadata, replay speaker turns, copy a transcript, or open the files.
No account is needed to record. There is no automatic summary generation. Recordings and transcription stay on-device; licence and update checks are described in our privacy policy. Choose a team or clinical tool if you need those specialized workflows.
