MEMORY NOTCH / MEDICAL STUDENTS
Revisit the teaching. Keep building your understanding.

Pre-clinical lectures
Record teaching sessions only when your school and lecturer permit it. Follow the transcript during revision and replay difficult explanations. Verify terminology against your course material: transcripts can get medical words wrong.
Peer explanations and exam practice
With your group’s permission, capture people explaining a concept or working through a fictional case. Listen back to your reasoning. Memory Notch does not assess clinical accuracy, grade answers, or generate medical advice.
Terminology needs a second look
Add subject-specific terms to your vocabulary file and review the result. A vocabulary list is not a guarantee of accurate transcription. Keep the original recording as a reference.
A PRACTICAL START
Before your next session
- Use permitted teaching or study material without patient-identifying information.
- Record a short test and check that the technical terms are captured clearly.
- Compare the transcript with authoritative course material before relying on it.
Good questions
Can I use it for patient encounters or clinical placements?
This page is for education and study, not patient documentation. Memory Notch has no EHR integration, BAA, or HIPAA-compliance claim. Do not treat local recording as authorization to capture patient information; follow your institution’s approved systems and policies.
Will it create clinical notes or diagnose a case?
No. It records audio and produces a transcript. It does not generate clinical documentation, diagnostic advice, or verified study answers.
How much does it cost for a medical student?
The same as the standard app: a five-minute recording trial, or a US$49 one-time licence for unlimited recording length on covered versions. No special medical-student discount is currently listed.
Try your own setup.
Start with a short recording. For longer sessions, a US$49 one-time licence includes one year of updates and use on up to five personal Macs. Covered versions stay unlimited. Licence terms.
