When your course permits recording, capture the session while you take your own notes. During revision, read the transcript and replay the original explanation instead of relying on a fragment you typed in a hurry.

Study groups without losing the discussion

Record a problem-solving session with everyone’s permission. Numbered speaker labels help separate turns; they do not identify people by name. Use the original audio to check a disputed step.

Your material, in your own tools

Audio, plain-text transcripts, and Markdown notes are stored together in ~/memory. Open the files in your editor or give a compatible study tool access to the notes you choose. Sending them to a cloud AI service is a separate choice.

Before your next session

Check the course’s recording policy and ask permission.
Make a short test from your actual seat or call setup.
Name the recording for the module and topic, then revisit it alongside your own notes.

Good questions

Is there a student discount?

There is no separate student offer listed. Everyone can try the five-minute recording trial. The US$49 one-time licence removes the recording limit on covered versions.

Does it make flashcards or revision summaries?

Not automatically. Memory Notch records and transcribes. You can use the files in a separate study tool, but its features and data handling are independent.

Can I record any class?

Only when recording is permitted and you have the necessary permission. A locally stored recording is not an exception to course rules, consent, or restrictions on sharing.
